WHY ARE VIDEOS SO EXPENSIVE?

Today, I want to talk about a loaded question. A lot of people sometimes say, "Why is video so expensive?" My answer to that is expensive compared to what? And what value are you getting from it? So let me just back up a little so I can give you some perspective. The basic equipment a videographer has to take to a set to film for you, if you were to rent it on your own for just that day, the average cost of that rental is about two to $3,000 more or less. That includes camera, tripods, audio, lights, et cetera. If you're paying, let's just say you're paying $2,000 for a basic video, you're actually getting a bargain. That does not include the camera person and the knowledge that that person brings. So if you were just to rent the equipment on your own, you would have to figure out how to light, how to set up the camera, how to do everything that a crew with the equipment would do for you. So I want to give you a reframing of perspective. When you say, "Oh my God, why is video so expensive?" Instead of asking yourself that, ask how much value will this video bring to my business? And in order for you to have that question answered, you must have clarity of purpose and you must have an understanding of what you want to get out of that video. And in order for you to do that, you might need the assistance of a video crew that has the knowledge and the guidance to help you get to your goals. So if you would like more information about the right quote for your specific video, I'm going to invite you to visit our website, subscribe and I will send you from time to time information on how you can use video to grow your business at a fair price.
